PDA Screen Protectors

Everyone gets excited about the arrival of a new electronic device. A plasma television, or a new cell phone always make the palms a little moist, and the heart beat a little faster. Admit it, there are only a couple of things more exciting than a new PDA or other portable electronic device that gets the body to react a certain way…and since this is a G rated site, we won’t go into what those things are…
The minute we open the box and unwrap the little beauty from its protective papers, we all want to start using it….IMMEDIATELY!
Waiting!??? That’s for sissies….SISSIES I say! “I want it, and I want it NOW!!” Ah yes, the true American motto for our time. “And why not?” you ask, rather indignantly. “Why the heck not?” You work hard, don’t you? You don’t get to have that kind of instant gratification every day, do you? You only want that adrenalin rush, just like you see on TV, don’t you? Darn right you do! And what’s more, you deserve it, my friend… Don’t you EVER let your boss, your girlfriend, your wife, your mother, your father, your fellow workers, your best friend that by the way you just found out has been lusting after your girlfriend for lo these many years, which you found out about by using….yes, you guessed it, ANOTHER electronic device, your “Crackberr…” I mean your new Blackberry that you carry everywhere with you, and on it saw the email that sneaky little creep sent her and accidently copied you as well….

Yes, my friend, you do deserve to be able to use that electronic wonder when you want. But….just a minute there….do you want to protect it? Do you want to be able to see the screen without scratches next year at this time? Do you want to be able to see all of the vividness of detail of the picture of your best friend, and by "best friend" I mean your dog, since you dumped your other best friend (see above)?

Sure you do, bucko, sure you do.

And that is why you need to go out and buy a screen protector for that toy of yours. Yes. I said it, a screen protector. Something that would not occur to you normally, but something you desperately need.
A screen protector is simply a piece of clear PVC or other vinyl that fits nicely over your screen and protects it from scratches of all types. Scratches from your pocket, when your keys grind against it, or from the ground when you drop it onto the sidewalk, or from your dog’s paws as he jumps up on you at the end of a hard day at the office and says hello. And lastly, from you. Yes you. You and your pen points and your paper clips, and your finger nails. All of those things you use on your poor screen instead of a stylus because you lost it and were too lazy to go to www.stylisource.com to replace it. That is why you need a screen protector my lazy, emotionally scarred friend.

Some screen protectors are pre cut to fit your device. Simply peel off the backing paper and apply. Others you will have to cut with a scissors or blade to fit. Some protectors are not quite durable enough to withstand the rigors of everyday use for more than a few weeks. Then you have punched right through it and are scratching the heck out of your hi-tech beauty. Stay away from low cost attempts at protection. After all, even high end screen protectors are not really expensive. www.boxwave.com has a large selection of screen protectors to choose from. Another web site is www.clarivue.com , or go to www.screenguardz.com.

These sites as well as others will have the selection you need to fully protect your device from the cold…hard…cruel…reality that is everyday life.

Bet you didn’t think an article about a piece of protective plastic would be so Zen did you?

That’s OK my friend. That's my job.
