PDA Replacement Stylus

No different than many industries, the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) has its share of unique terminology.  One would think that a stylus is a stylus is a stylus, however there are many kinds to choose from.  One of the first questions we ask is "does it need to fit inside your PDA?".  If the answer is yes, you need a PDA Replacement Stylus.

The term typically refers to PDA Replacement Stylus typically a stylus that actually fits into a cavity in the PDA, sometimes called a "stylus port" or "stylus garage".  This category can be further sub-divided into two sub categories:

• OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) PDA Replacement Stylus - this refers to the stylus made by the same manufacturer of the PDA, for example model 3178WW Palm Stylus 3-Pack is made by Palm for the LifeDrive, Tungsten E, Tungsten T5 and Zire 22.
   

• Third Party PDA Replacement Stylus - this refers to stylus made by companies different than the PDA manufacturer.  These styli are often made with added features, ranging from an ink pen to a reset pin, improved tip and more.  These "trade-up" products have actually inspired companies like Palm to improve their own OEM stylus offerings.
