PDA Cases

I am here today to discuss a very important issue that has been brewing for quite some time. This issue is nothing to joke about. It is an issue that has unfairly stereotyped literally thousands of individuals, mostly men for reasons we will get to in a minute, into an unfair and unjust category. Hopefully, I will be able to alleviate this ugly stigma from these poor wretched unfortunates, or, at the very least, remove this one trait from the list of identifiers that has hounded these people for perhaps decades.

Of course, I am speaking of…..nerds. Yes, nerds. Don’t lie. You know you have seen them. They walk the streets by day and by night. They work along side you. They might even socialize at your favorite restaurant or watering hole. You try not to stare; you look away politely as they pass. But admit it, if only to yourself. You giggle when they walk by. You smile when they leave the computer room at work. You have even considered buying them a pocket protector for the Christmas gift swap. Cruel, cruel indeed.

And how do you know they are nerds? You may actually be mistaken. Over the last few years, one of the main “nerd markers” that has unfairly labeled many men as NERD has been the cell phone or PDA hooked to the belt. Now, the fact that the slacks the belt is holding up are hoisted higher than the main sail on a colonial frigate is irrelevant to this discussion. The bottom line is, the cell phone/PDA case hooked to the belt is a so called “dead giveaway.”

The fact that this method of carrying an electronic device is both easy and functional makes no difference to that group of people who keep their device hidden in a pocket or hand bag. What about you; you who judge those that opt for convenience and functionality? How many times have you “oh so righteous” types sat down to lunch only to inadvertently “butt call” your girlfriend because your cell phone turned on? How many times have you been called into your supervisor’s office only to be told to stop with the prank phone calls in the at work when you know you didn’t make any? Yes, that’s right; it was your butt making those calls because you didn’t have the guts to wear your phone on your belt like a normal person.

OK. Let’s get a Dr. Grip here. After all, I am here to save you. I have the answer for those who pocket their phones and PDAs as well as those unfairly labeled as nerds, to get into the new millennium. I am speaking of…the PDA and cell phone case. No, not the little hook that attaches to your belt. I am speaking of a full, luxurious high tech alternative made from fine leather, or a metallic case that fairly shouts from your belt “HEY! I’m here and I’m COOL DAMN IT! So there!”

Well, maybe not those exact words, but you get the idea. So let us look at a few of these sleek beautiful cases and I am sure you will find one to your liking.

 Leather PDA Cases/Smartphone Cases

Leather has always been a luxurious option for personal items. Bags, belts, shoes, all have been made from different types of leather. Not just cow leather, but leather from a variety of animals. This practice has been going on for literally thousands of years. Why even Cleopatra often carried around a snakeskin bag and other ornaments made from various animal skins. In the end of course those same asps got their revenge, but this is no history lesson. This is a discussion of the beautiful options available to the PDA and cell phone user in the way of leather cases.

The I-Phone is the best selling smart phone. There are literally hundreds of different styles of cases available for this phone. Many of them are leather, such as this leather combo case , or this attractive nappa leather case

This case has more of a notebook look to it, although the name of the store might tend to weaken my argument.

 If you do not own an I-Phone, but still want the style of leather, there are other options. Well, ask yourself this question: Aren’t you defeating the purpose of trying not to be a nerd when you’re doing the thing all nerds would do? But they also have something that I got a kick out of: A luxury leather case for your PSP.  Now, that is what I call camouflage. I can tell you that you can get a case for just about any electronic device such as a PDA, phone, laptop, or PSP. You can match all of your devices with one kind of leather and color or make them different. The color selection is amazing and the quality is top of the line. I have seen these cases myself and believe me they are truly incredible. The prices are a tad high…well, some are jaw dropping, but, if impact is what you are after, then these cases are the ones for you.

 But for those who own a regular phone and a PDA as well, there are cases for you to express yourself.
